Don’t Leave Your Antelope Uncooked

Do you want to make more money from what you do as a creator?

Most people think it starts with getting more followers or going viral. But that’s not true. The real key is learning how to package what you already know and do into value that others will pay for.

I saw this verse that changed everything for me. Proverbs 12:27 says, “Lazy people don’t even cook the game they catch, but the diligent make use of everything they find.”

That’s when it clicked for me — you can catch something and still waste it if you don’t use it wisely.

Let me explain with a story.

Two hunters went out into the forest: Boanteng and Pelumi.

Boanteng caught a big antelope. He was excited about the hunt, but after showing it off he left it there and walked away. He caught something but never made use of it.

Pelumi also caught an antelope, but his mindset was different. He cooked part of the meat to feed his family. He sold another part to neighbors who didn’t know how to hunt. He cleaned and polished the horns and sold them as antiques. He went further to host classes teaching young hunters how to track antelope. He even organized competitions where people hunted antelopes and won prizes, bringing other antelope lovers together to share their passion and discuss how to care for them. All from the same antelope.

Now who do you think built a lasting impact ? Boanteng or Pelumi?

And this is the difference between a hobby and a business. A hobby is catching the antelope for the thrill. A business is packaging every part of that antelope into value streams others will pay for.

It’s the same for you. Whether you’re an accountant, a lawyer, a designer, a care worker, or a singer, you’ve caught some antelopes in your journey. You’ve learned patterns, discovered insights, and picked up skills. The question is: are you like Boanteng or Pelumi?

In today’s world, you don’t need thousands of followers to start earning. What you need is the passion to help people, the right mindset, and the wisdom to treat what you do as a business. People follow value, and money follows value.

And here’s the beautiful part: when you share your knowledge and experience, it makes you sharper. You research more. You expand your network. You get a deeper understanding of your own craft. Serving others makes you grow too.

But there’s one more layer. When you add your personal style to all of this, it becomes powerful. Your style opens conversations. It makes people curious. It draws attention. And that is leverage. Style is not vanity, it’s your amplifier, the thing that multiplies everything else you do.

So don’t just catch your antelope. Cook it. Sell it. Teach it. Share it. Package it. And let your style amplify it.
